More evidence that journals don't want to be cited.Noel O'Boylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03288289351940689018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7844526396210378482.post-38544151619488087132007-11-09T14:53:00.000+00:002007-11-09T14:53:00.000+00:00Can you use the pubmed API to return a journal abb...Can you use the pubmed API to return a journal abbreviation?

I know, not everything is in pubmed. ;-)Mr. Gunnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17434342767819948877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7844526396210378482.post-36608916626444702382007-10-31T19:40:00.000+00:002007-10-31T19:40:00.000+00:00Yes - that's one of the pages that comes up when y...Yes - that's one of the pages that comes up when you google "journal abbreviations". Still, I can't see why the journal itself doesn't just tell you. The list you refer to, for example, doesn't have "Chemistry Central Journal".

I hope your EndNote comment will help users who have access to it. I was pretty surprised to find out that EndNote doesn't do this by default. However, it does let you use "term lists" to take care of it. I've just started using the biosciences term list from here, and it looks pretty good so far.Michael Lernerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02289837069736012720noreply@blogger.com
